Service Description:
  • Supports Indigenous women who are at-risk of homelessness or who are homeless
  • Assists with maintaining existing housing and finding affordable sustainable housing
  • Strives to improve the quality of life for homeless women and mothers and to help achieve a life of stability
  • Family support workers provide the following services:
    • Advocacy
    • Aftercare and follow up
    • Assessment and goal setting
    • Budgeting and life skills
    • Cultural teachings and healing
    • Help with finding, securing, and maintaining housing
    • Home visit support
    • Referrals and partnering with community agencies

    Eligibility / Target Population: Indigenous women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and have a greater risk of interacting with the criminal justice system
