Service Description:
|
Serves as a non-political Chiefs Council which provides advisory and support services to six First Nation communities- Provides governance, political support and advocacy to Keewaytinook Okimakanak First Nations in their quest to build self-sufficient communities
- Promotes Indigenous recognition and cultural awareness of the member First Nations
- Consists of Chiefs and representatives from each community
- Delivers programs and services through local community government
- Operates various First Nation owned for-profit corporations
Provides technical and professional advisory services and programs in the following areas:- Financial Advisory Services
- Health Services
- Health Services, Crisis Intervention
- Keewaytinook Centre of Excellence
- Keewaytinook Internet High School
- Keewaytinook Okimakanak Secondary School Services
- KORI, Research Institute
- Telecommunications, Kuhkenah Network (K-Net)
- Public Works Unit
- Telemedicine
