Service Description: Health centre focused on family and community health
  • Offers primary health care and preventative services for Anishinaabe people through both traditional and contemporary health services
  • Provides chronic disease management
  • Administers immunizations
  • Provides referrals to other service providers and specialists
  • Performs some diagnostic procedures including electrocardiograms (ECG) and specimen collection
  • Provides in-house laboratory services
  • Provides weekly outreach clinics in most Kenora area communities
  • Collaborates with Lake of the Woods District Hospital and Sunset Country Family Health Team for consultations, diagnostic imaging and laboratory analysis
Provides services in the following areas:
  • Assessment, diagnosis and treatment
  • Diabetes education and specialized care
  • Early child development and nutrition
  • Health education and promotion
  • Mental health and wellness
  • Nutritional counseling and support
  • Preventative health care
  • Reproductive health
  • Traditional health care



Mental Health Counselling - One-on-one, couple, and family counselling * mental health screening and assessments * short-term and long-term counselling * confidential

Traditional Healing -
Indgenous healing methods to restore balance and connectedness * holistic approach to individual, family, and community health * one-on-one sessions, traditional spiritual ceremonies
