Service Description:
  • Provides immediate assistance with emergency expenses related to the incident, including:
    • emergency home safety
    • accommodation
    • meals
    • transportation
    • dependent care costs
    • counselling
    • cellular phones
    • vision care
    • crime scene cleanup
    • funeral expenses

  • Additional assistance for victims of human trafficking include:
    • replacement of government documents
    • storage locker
    • dental
    • tattoo removal
    • treatment at a recovery facility

    Note: there is no direct reimbursement to victims

    Fees: None
    Application: Referral by police, emergency services, community agency or self referral
    Eligibility / Target Population: Victims of a violent crime who have no other financial resources
