Service Description: Provides a wide range of community-based and culturally appropriate programs and services to Indigenous peoples residing in, or migrating to, the city

  • Assists Indigenous individuals and families to access traditional healers and midwives as well as mainstream health providers
  • Acts as a liaison for individuals and families requiring support
  • Promotes healthy lifestyles through home visits, circles, workshops and public education
  • Develops and obtains Indigenous health promotion materials
  • Promotes traditional culture-based family healing
  • Provides referrals to appropriate health programs and services
