Service Description:
|
Operates an emergency shelter and support services for abused women and their children
Operates a 31-bed transitional housing program with 9 units that include: 5 three-bedroom units and 4 four-bedroom units- Provides safe housing to all women 16 years of age and older, with or without dependants
- Accommodations available for up to 24 months after leaving Women's Shelter Saakaate House
- Offers access to a hub of support services, that include counselling, education and goal setting coaches
- Offers referrals and assistance to other community agencies
- Provides assistance to secure and maintain permanent housing and independent living

- Length of stay is up to two years
