Service Description:

A rural health care organization that includes the Atikokan General Hospital, Atikokan Family Health Team and Atikokan Community Counselling to provide a range of health care and community services to residents in the Town of Atikokan and surrounding areas in the Rainy River District
NOTE: Do not call the Atikokan General Hospital Emergency Department seeking medical advice. Due to legal reasons the emergency department staff are unable to provide advice or information over the telephone
Allow individuals quick access to specialized addiction services for short-term stabilization and connections to community treatment programs for ongoing monitoring, support and rehabilitation
Services available include:- Assessment of substances use disorders
- Opioid replacement therapy
- Alcohol urge reduction medication
- Brief individual counselling and peer support
- Harm reduction and education
- Connections to community supports and treatment programs
RAAM clinic is not a medical detox and does not offer acute withdrawal services for alcohol use
