Service Description:

A rural health care organization that includes the Atikokan General Hospital, Atikokan Family Health Team and Atikokan Community Counselling to provide a range of health care and community services to residents in the Town of Atikokan and surrounding areas in the Rainy River District
NOTE: Do not call the Atikokan General Hospital Emergency Department seeking medical advice. Due to legal reasons the emergency department staff are unable to provide advice or information over the telephone
Assists patients living with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) to better manage their disease processConducts spirometry assessments to determine lung functionProvides education and support to help set goals for individual's carePartners with Atikokan General Hospital to provide exercises for COPD patientOffers smoking cessation counselling if neededProvides referrals to other programs and services
