Service Description:

A rural health care organization that includes the Atikokan General Hospital, Atikokan Family Health Team and Atikokan Community Counselling to provide a range of health care and community services to residents in the Town of Atikokan and surrounding areas in the Rainy River District
NOTE: Do not call the Atikokan General Hospital Emergency Department seeking medical advice. Due to legal reasons the emergency department staff are unable to provide advice or information over the telephone
Provides psychiatry assessments once per month via the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN)Operates as a pilot project in partnership with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and Ontario Health atHome - North West AreaProvides onsite consultations once per yearOffers educational sessions for health care professionals about mental illnesses upon request
