Service Description:

Administers programs and services focused on improving the quality of life for Indigenous people living in an urban environment
Home Maintenance Service Provides home maintenance or repair jobs for Life Long Care participants to ensure they are living in a safe, clean and secure environment independently The job may be undertaken regularly, occasionally or one time only
- Regular jobs may include:
- house cleaning
- yard maintenance
- snow shovelling
- indoor window washing
- One time jobs may include helping the participant arrange home repairs and renovations
- Infrequent or periodic jobs may include:
- seasonal house cleaning
- washing indoor walls
- washing of drapes/slipcovers/upholstery
- washing outside windows
- scrubbing cupboards
- cleaning out wood burning stoves
Homemaking Service Support services provided may include:- light housekeeping
- laundry
- ironing
- mending
- shopping
- banking/paying bills
- planning menus
- caring for children
- assisting an individual with any of the above

Urban Indigenous individuals who are elderly, disabled, chronically ill and/or have special needs who are clients of the Life Long Care Program
