Service Description: Dedicated to connecting food and community and works to build a just, resilient, and sustainable food system in Northwestern Ontario.

A non-profit network that brings people together to grow equitable, sustainable, and resilient food systems in Northwestern Ontario
Projects include:
  • Tbayinseason - a seasonal tool for discovering local farms, food and flavours across Thunder Bay
  • Food Access Coalition - a collaborative network of over 50 organizations committed to advancing equitable, community-driven food access programming across the the Thunder Bay area, such as providers, advocates and grassroots initiatives offering food banks, meal programs, community kitchens, gardens and subsidized food options such as the Good Food Box
  • Emergency Food Plan - a community-led, collaborative strategy that ensures safe, dignified and equitable food access during emergencies in the City of Thunder Bay
  • Community Food System Report Card - offers a snapshot of Northwestern Ontario's food system, highlighting strengths, gaps and community-led efforts to build a more just, resilient future
  • Nyéléni Process - a global movement for food sovereignty, or "the right of peoples to healthy and culturally appropriate food produced through ecologically sound and sustainable methods, and their right to define their own food and agriculture systems"
