Service Description:
|
Serves as a non-political Chiefs Council which provides support and advisory services to six First Nation communities
Provides support and guidance for the effective delivery and management of health and related programs and services to member First Nation communities- Provides leadership and input into Keewaytinook Okimakanak (KO) health services planning
- Works to develop infrastructure and human resources at the community level for the delivery of the programs
- Provides advice and support to front-line health workers within each community including proposal writing, program development, administration and training and professional development
Administers regional programs and services including but not limited to:- Community Health Nursing Services
- Diabetes Initiative
- Home and Community Care
- Infant and Children's Programs
- Long Term Care
- Medical Transportation Program
- Mental Health
- National Native Alcohol and Drug Abuse Program (NNADAP)
- Regional Crisis Intervention Program
