Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Kasabonika First Nation- Tribal Council: Shibogama First Nations Council
- Political Territorial
Organization: Nishnawbe-Aski Nation (NAN)Treaty #9
Operates a detoxification centre for community members addicted to Oxycontin- Operates as a day program
- Offers the drug suboxone in place of methadone to minimize the effects of withdrawal
Program includes the following services:- Intake
- Withdrawal treatment
- Counselling
- Aftercare
Also provides:- Mental health and addictions counselling
- Referrals to other treatment centres and programs such as Nodin Child & Family Intervention Services in Sioux Lookout
