Service Description: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Rainy River First Nation

Provides a complex of transitional housing units for individuals returning to the community from addictions treatment to have the best possible chance of recovery
  • Offers the space and support for individuals to build on skills learned while in treatment and to learn and solidify new habits and ways of life to prevent relapse
  • Helps clients to develop sober social relationships and to participate in sober living activities
  • Provides daily structured programs such as meditation, group sessions, daily living skills including cooking and cleaning, and cultural/land-based activities
  • Provides counselling and ongoing guidance as needed
  • Assists clients to host weekly Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings

Application:
  • Contact the Transition Home Manager to make arrangements

  • Clients are picked up from treatment facility and transported to Transitional home

  • Supports are provided throughout the residency

  • Length of stay is up to two years
Eligibility / Target Population: Members of Rainy River First Nations recovering from addictions treatment and in need of further support in a residential environment
