Service Description:
|
Operates a community centre for older adults that offers various recreational, educational and support programs and services.
Connects eligible, registered seniors with volunteers who will provide snow removal services at no cost- Registered seniors will be matched with a volunteer who will provide snow removal services for the duration of the winter season (up to the last snowfall of winter 2023/2024)
- Volunteers will shovel a walkway (pathway) from the senior's door to the road within 72 hours of a snowfall of 3cm or more
There is no guarantee of services and driveway shovelling and/or windrow removal are not provided and cannot be requested under ANY circumstances.

- Volunteers will be matched with a senior in their area, a shovel, tuque and mitts are provided

- 65 years of age and older, AND
- have no other capable members residing in their home to help shovel
Volunteers:
- over 16 years of age
- in good physical health and
- reliable
