Service Description: Easter Seals Ontario provides programs and services to children and youth with physical disabilities across Ontario to help them achieve greater independence, accessibility and integration

  • Offers 5 to 10-day summer camp sessions for children and youth with physical disabilities who are registered with Easter Seals Ontario
  • Operates two camp sites: Camp Merrywood, located in Perth, Ontario and Camp Woodeden, located in London, Ontario

  • Activities include:
    • Archery
    • Arts and Crafts
    • Campfires
    • Environmental studies
    • Leadership and life skills
    • Sports (basketball, badminton, lacrosse)
    • Swimming

    Exclusively at Camp Merrywood:
    • Canoeing
    • Kayaking
    • Sailing

    Exclusively at Camp Woodeden:
    • Rock climbing
    • Fully accessible high ropes course

    Camps are available for off season rental

    Fees: Program; Campers registered with Easter Seals Ontario who are 18 and under as of July 1st of the camping year automatically qualify to receive funding and are asked to pay what they can, with a minimum payment of $150; Campers 19 years of age and older ar

    Eligibility / Target Population: Children 6-26 years of age with physical disabilities

    • Must be able to communicate a consistent yes/no (verbal or non-verbal)
