Service Description: Responsible for the delivery of provincially mandated services on behalf of the citizens of the District of Rainy River

  • Responsible for the delivery of licensed early learning and child care programs, as well as family resource programs within the Rainy River District
  • Provides a list of licensed child care facilities on website
  • Provides a list of EarlyON Child and Family Centre locations on website
  • Fee Subsidy
    • Provides financial assistance towards the cost of licensed early learning and child care programs for eligible families
    Special Needs Resourcing
    • Coordinates staff, equipment, supplies or services to enhance the integration of children with special needs into licensed early learning and child care programs
    Ontario Works Child Care
    • Provides funding if available, for Ontario Works recipients who are taking part in approved activities, to help pay for child care expenses

    Contact the licensed early learning and child care program where individual wishes to enroll child and/or the Rainy River District Social Services Administration Board (RRDSSAB) office
    Eligibility / Target Population: Children 0 - 12 years of age


    Fee Subsidy

    • Individuals in need of financial assistance when placing children in a licensed early learning and child care program

    • Must meet income eligibility and complete an Income Test

    • Parents/guardians of children with special needs
