Service Description: Enhances the quality of life for children and youth through community-based social, recreational, educational, health, and counselling services

  • Provides opportunity for volunteer and seasonal employment
  • Offers birthday party rentals
  • Offers Safe Arrival walking service from Algonquin and Pius X schools
  • Provides After School Care shuttle service from Five Mile school
  • Programs
    • Recreational: soccer, baseball, floor hockey, gym games, climbing programs, snowboarding, and skiing
    • Educational: study skills program, world of science, cooking class, arts and crafts, computers
    • Camping, swimming, outings in the summer, dance and fitness classes
    • Breakfast Club at various schools
    • Satellite Outreach at various schools
    • Achieve Program (Tutoring) at a few locations
    • Homework Help
    Community Access Program
    • Provides individuals with public access to the Internet and the skills they need to use it effectively

    Application:
    • All programs require that a household account is made for the family and a membership must be purchased for the child/children each year

    Eligibility / Target Population:
    • Main Club: children and youth 4-18 years of age

    • Summer Program: children 5-18 years of age

    • Children MUST be 6 years of age and older to attend After-school programs

    • During PD Days, Christmas Break, March Break and Summer Program, children who are 4-5 years of age may attend as long as they are enrolled in full time school
