Service Description: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Nibinamik First Nation also known as Summer Beaver

Operates a licensed daycare centre
  • Focuses on activities that enhance the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical and social development of children
  • Offers age appropriate structured activities including art, baking, circle time, dramatic play, field trips, music, storytime and special events
  • Provides supervised, unstructured indoor and outdoor playtime
  • Provides 2 snacks and a hot lunch daily
  • Incorporates Native cultural programs with the daily community based programming
Offers full day and part-time programs for:
  • Toddlers
  • Preschoolers
Also provides:
  • Respite care for infants
  • After-school care for children requiring care for working parents

Application:
  • Requires completion of registration and consent form

  • Must show proof of child's immunization record
Eligibility / Target Population:
  • Members of Nibinamik First Nation

  • Infants for respite care: 0-12 months of age

  • Toddlers: 1-3 years of age

  • Pre-school: 3 years of age

  • After-school: children of any age attending school and requiring care
