Service Description: Serves as a non-political Chiefs Council which provides support and advisory services to five First Nation communities

  • Provides technical advisory and training services to housing authority and band government personnel in all housing issues within each member community
  • Reviews plans and submits changes and recommendations for new housing projects
  • Inspects existing housing and various stages of new housing construction upon request
  • Offers advisory services with housing policies, contracts and lease agreements
  • Assists in the development and submission of housing proposals
  • Assists with on-reserve Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) program delivery and funding applications

    Application: Services are delivered to community members at the local level (Band Office)
    Eligibility / Target Population: Must belong to one of the member First Nations within the Independent First Nations Alliance (IFNA)
