Service Description: Manages the daily operations and administration of the Township of Alberton

Oversees the administration and financial services of all municipal departments and handles financial services for ratepayers and customers
  • Provides secretarial support for proceedings of Council and committees
  • Facilitates towns and school board elections
  • Participates in and provides support for various community committees
  • Administers the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
  • Maintains the corporate policy manual and the corporate bylaw and report systems
  • Liaises with Aboriginal organizations
  • Provides civic information
Archives
  • Provides records management and archival services to Town departments and research facilities to the general public
  • Processes Freedom of Information requests
Also offers the following:
  • Provides a monthly Community Newsletter available by subscribed mail or on website
  • Offers outdoor Millenium Skating Rink and Park including heated change room and washrooms, barbeque/picnic area, playground and adult outdoor exercise equipment
  • Rents the Municipal office basement, equipped with full kitchen, to agencies for training sessions and community residents for small events
