Service Description: Provides a wide range of community-based and culturally appropriate programs and services to Indigenous peoples residing in, or migrating to, the city

  • Helps individuals understand their legal rights, options, responsibilities and navigate the court system
  • Offers criminal, family, and combined courtworkers
  • Explains the charges and court orders against an individual
  • Provides counselling, referrals, follow-up, and encouragement to offenders to become contributing members of the community

    Eligibility / Target Population: Indigenous youth and adults who have been charged with a criminal offence under the Criminal Code of Canada, as well as separating couples, and parents involved in child welfare matters
