Service Description: An organization that provides supports and programs for Indigenous women and their families

  • Provides support services to improve the health and wellbeing of urban Indigenous elderly women and families and those with chronic illness or disabilities
  • Focus is on assisting individuals to achieve a good quality of life, reflective of needs and culture
  • Services include:
    • Access to traditional supports and ceremony
    • Assistance with maintaining the housefold
    • Housing supports
    • Individual community cultural care
    • Respite care
    • Transportation for appointments and cultural events

    Eligibility / Target Population: Urban Indigenous seniors and Indigenous persons with chronic illness or disabilities, with a particular focus on Indigenous women
