Service Description: Provides programs and services to improve the quality of life for urban Indigenous people with a focus on social, educational and cultural development

  • Enables eligible individuals to be released from custody and supervised while awaiting trial
  • Provides case management and reintegration planning
  • Identifies the availability of a surety
  • Provides neutral information about the accused at release hearings
  • Provides supervision of released individuals and provides referrals to relevant programming and treatment
  • Partners with local agencies to ensure services are provided including travel arrangements, shelter/accommodations, connections with culture and family, and mental health and addictions assistance

    Application: Must be referred through the Bail Verification and Supervision Program
    Eligibility / Target Population: Individuals 18 years of age and older accused of a criminal offence who are not a threat to the community and qualify for bail, but do not have the finances or social ties to meet bail conditions
