Service Description: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Wunnumin Lake First Nation

Responsible for planning, developing and implementing all social, recreational and special events for children and youth of the community
  • Provides various activities such as arts and crafts, baking nights, movie nights and outdoor sports events
  • Organizes and supervises various outdoor activities for youth during summer months such as baseball, football and soccer
  • Coordinates a youth hockey program during the winter months; received donations of several dozen full hockey equipment from Play It Again Sports in Thunder Bay
  • Offers boys and men's hockey tournaments and men's/women's broomball tournaments
  • Coordinates summertime concerts at the artificial ice arena
Recreation services and facilities include:
  • Baseball diamond
  • Gymnasium
  • Indoor hockey arena
  • Community hall, used for feasts, social gatherings, indoor sports activities
  • Winter Carnival

  • Hockey program open to all boys, girls and youth of the community aged 6-17 years of age
