Service Description:
|
Oversees the administration and operation of all municipal programs, services and facilities
Operates a drop-in youth centre
- Offers a community facility for youth to socialize and attend activities which are planned by the youth themselves; guidance provided as needed
- Offers the sale of refreshments with all proceeds to the Youth Centre
Activities include but are not limited to:
- Art nights
- Band performances, both local and out-of-town, organized by Sioux Youth Concerts
- Coffee houses
- Drama nights
- Games such as air hockey, pool and cards
Multicultural Youth Citizenship Project
- Engages youth to explore the cultural history of Sioux Lookout and area
- Homework support
- Music production and workshops
- Sports events at the Rec Centre
