A community based stakeholder group advocating for seniors' independence and quality of life in Thunder Bay
Functions as a committee that wishes to ensure that Thunder Bay is a good place to grow oldHelps citizens age with dignity in a community internationally recognized as an Age-Friendly City by the World Health Organization Global Network of Age-Friendly CitiesAims to make Thunder Bay a more age friendly community by advocating for:increased housing optionsmore access to health and community servicesimproved transportationincreased safetyWorks together to:
- create a vision
- communicate and educate
- support research
- disseminate information
- establish priorities for action
- provide advice to city and community partners
- coordinate initiatives to optimize the use of resources
Note: Committee includes members of the older adult population along with members of local organizations that support older adults and who are committed to older adult issues
