Service Description:
|
Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Northwest Angle 33 First Nation; provides services through main Band Office at Angle Inlet and sub-office at Dogpaw- Tribal Council: Anishinaabeg of Kabapikotawangag Resource Council (AKRC)
- Political Territorial Organization: Grand Council of Treaty 3 (GCT3)
- Treaty #3
Provides education and services for the prevention, management and treatment of diabetes- Provides case management and screening services
- Works to increase early detection and to reduce the number of avoidable complications that can arise from uncontrolled diabetes
- Advises on developing and implementing an approach to care and management of diabetes
- Promotes increased physical activity and knowledge of healthy eating
- Provides workshops, presentations and hands-on training for cultural activities and traditions
- Provides referrals and assists individuals in finding appropriate services
