Service Description: Strives to empower Indigenous women, youth and families to end the cycle of family violence by providing support services, and enhancing their skills and knowledge in areas of wellness

Provides workshops and information to increase women's participation in leadership roles within their home community

Possible topics for workshops can include but not limited to:
  • Community elections
  • Mentoring
  • Personal development skills
  • Public speaking
  • Starting a women's group

Application: Registration for program required
Eligibility / Target Population: Indigenous women who reside within the 31 First Nation communities in the Sioux Lookout District Zone
