Service Description: Provides short-term sheltered and caring environment for women and their dependents who are victims of violence in their intimate relationships. Marjorie House may also provide services to women at risk who are in need of a safe and secure environment.

Offers support and an accompaniment service at all stages to help individuals settle into a life without violence

Services include:
  • individual counselling
  • crisis telephone support and referrals
  • assistance in accessing education, employment, and housing
  • advocacy for medical, legal, or court appointments
  • assistance with the development of a personal safety plan

Eligibility / Target Population:
  • Women 16 years of age and older who have been victims of physical, emotional, sexual or financial abuse

  • Assault survivors in distress
