Service Description: The Dryden Area Family Health Team includes: Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, Registered Dietitians, Occupational Therapist, Registered Pyschotherapist, Patient Care Navigator and Administration
  • Family Health Teams allow physicians and other allied health providers to work as a team to focus on keeping patients healthy
  • The vision calls for physicians, nurse practitioners and other members of the team to practice together in a positive working environment, sharing and benefiting from the complementary knowledge and skills of their colleagues


  • Assists people living with chronic pain to better manage their symptoms and their daily lives
  • Offers a free 6-week workshop which consists of weekly 2.5 hour sessions
  • Teaches individuals how to:
    • Use relaxation techniques and exercise
    • Deal with frustration and fatigue
    • Eat and sleep better
    • Use medications effectively
    • Evaluate new treatments
    • Pain and symptom cycle
    NOTE: Workshop participants receive for free the Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions course book, the Chronic Pain Workbook, and the Moving Easy Program CD
