Service Description: A social ministry agency of the Lutheran Churches of the community; provides social, developmental, and spiritual services to individuals in Northern Ontario

Specialized Service Coordination (SSC) program
  • Uses a person-directed approach to help individuals identify their goals and the steps to take to reach their goals
  • Assists people with direct funding to learn how to create their own support networks within their available funding
Adult Protective Service Worker (APSW) program
  • Supports individuals who are living on their own to live as independently, safely, and securely as possible in the community
  • Assists in developing strategies for coping and adapting to life in the community
  • Ensures that individuals are informed of their rights and are treated with respect, fairness and dignity (Advocacy)
  • Assists individuals in managing income support from Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) (Temporary Trusteeship)
  • Helps individuals use natural supports as a way of enhancing lives and understand the range of opportunities that exist in the community
APSW program also provides services in Marathon at 115 - 52 Peninsula Square

Eligibility / Target Population:
  • Individuals 18 years of age and older who have been diagnosed with a developmental disability

  • Documentation is required to support diagnosis of a developmental disability
