Service Description: Provides culturally appropriate health programs and social services to the member First Nation communities

  • Culturally appropriate programs and services for Aboriginals providing community health prevention and promotion activities
  • Focus is on healthy life choices and injury prevention
  • Offers community based activities to enhance health and well-being of members in the following areas:
    • Maternal and infant health
    • Child, adolescent, adult and elder health
    • School health
    • Communicable disease control through immunizations, outbreak management, surveillance and education
    • Chronic illness prevention, education and management

    Fees: None
    Application: Services are accessed at a local level in individual communities
    Eligibility / Target Population: First Nation individuals living in the communities within the Dryden Tribal Area
    Languages: English
    Language Notes: Ojibway, Oji-Cree; available upon request

    Frenchman's Head, Kejick Bay, Eagle Lake First Nation, Lac Des Mille Lacs First Nation, Wabauskang First Nation, and Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation
