Service Description: Provides culturally appropriate health and social services to member First Nation communities

Aims to enhance the health and well-being of First Nation children and families
Indigenous Child Nutrition (ICN)
  • Assists families in developing and maintaining healthy and nutritious meal plans
  • Provides information, awareness and education about the importance of healthy eating habits in the development of children
Also offers the following programs to communities:
  • Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FAS/D)
  • Healthy Babies Healthy Children

Fees: None
Application: Services are provided locally within each community
Eligibility / Target Population: First Nation children 16 years of age and younger and their families
Languages: English
Language Notes: Ojibway, Oji-Cree; available upon request
Area Served:
Anishinabe of Wauzhushk Onigum, Grassy Narrows First Nation, Naotkamegwanning First Nation, Northwest Angle 33 First Nation, Northwest Angle 37 First Nation, and Obashkaandagaang First Nation
