  • Commissioners of Oaths in the Family Court office deal only with family matters and Family Responsibility Office documents, while those in the Criminal Court office deal only with criminal matters
  • Commissioners of Oaths in the Provincial Offences Office in Victoriaville Mall deal with provincial offences
  • City Clerk Office also has employees who are Commissioners of Oaths, but they do not assist with wills or estates, for family law issues or for mortgages
  • Justices of the Peace act as ex-officio Commissioners of Oaths and will only certify court related documents, not family
  • Service Ontario locations that offer Commissioners of Oaths will only certify for provincial services that Service Ontario deals with - identification, driver and vehicle services, landlord and tenant services, Ministry of Natural Resources, but do NOT certify for birth certificates
