Service Description: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Keewaywin First Nation

Responsible for processing Non-Insured Health Service claims and coordinating medical transportation for community and Band members
  • Submits medical appointment travel, mileage, meal and accommodation requests on behalf of individual
  • Assists with making travel arrangements
  • Maintains client documentation, receipts and related information
  • Provides transportation to medical appointments within the community

  • Requires written proof of medical appointment

  • Requires 24 hour advance booking; exceptions made for emergencies

  • Advance cancellation recommended
Eligibility / Target Population: Members of Keewaywin First Nation who require assistance with Non-insured Health Benefits (NIHB) arrangements and forms, and assistance with medical transportation due to age, illness or disability
