Service Description:
  • Administers bicultural child protection and prevention services for First Nation children and youth
  • Focus is on providing services that respect Anishinaabe heritage, culture and traditions


  • Provides extended children's mental health services for children in care
    Services provided are tailored to the needs of each client, and may include:
    • Development of treatment plans
    • Individual, Family and Group Counselling
    • Linkages with health, financial, educational, services in the community
    • Support and assistance with behavioral problems
    Provides assistance with concerns related to:
    • Anger management
    • Attachment
    • Bereavement
    • Bullying
    • Communication skills
    • Family functioning
    • Grief
    • Loss/separation/divorce
    • Relationships
    • Sexual abuse
    • Social skills

    Fees: None
    Application: Intake Assessment required for all programs
    Eligibility / Target Population: First Nations children and youth 15 years of age and younger, in care and their families
    Languages: English
    Language Notes: Ojibway, Oji-Cree; upon request
