Service Description:

Administers bicultural child protection and prevention services for First Nation children and youthFocus is on providing services that respect Anishinaabe heritage, culture and traditions
Facilitates customary care (foster care) arrangements with priority always given to the recognition and rights of an Anishinaabe child to be placed with extended family, their own community and their clan Provides foster care child placement in the following order of priority:- With immediate or extended family members in the community
- With other community members
- With extended family outside the community
- With a family in another native community
- With a non-Aboriginal family as a last consideration
Semi Independent Living Program- Provides life skills training to children in care
- Helps to prepare them for the transition to independent living

First Nations children and youth 15 years of age and younger, on/off-reserve from the First Nation communities of Naotkamegwanning, Wauzhushk Onigum Nation, Asubpeeschoseewagong Netum Anishinabek, Wabaseemoong Independent Nation and Obashkaandagaang (Washagamis Bay)
