Service Description:
  • Administers bicultural child protection and prevention services for First Nation children and youth
  • Focus is on providing services that respect Anishinaabe heritage, culture and traditions


  • Administers bicultural child protection and prevention services for First Nation children and youth
    • Provides on-call services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
    • Investigates all reports of child abuse/neglect
    • Focus is on providing services that respect Anishinaabe heritage, culture and traditions
    • Belongs to the Association of Native Child and Family Service Agencies of Ontario
    Services include:
    • Alternative Care (Foster Care)
    • Child Protection Services
    • Children's Mental Health Services
    • Customary Care
    • Prevention Services

    Fees: None
    Application: Intake Assessment required for all programs
    Eligibility / Target Population: Child Protection Services

    • Mandated for First Nations children and youth 17 years of age and under in need of protection

    • Voluntary for children 16 years of age and over


    Prevention Services: Families requiring intervention in order to prevent family breakdown
