Service Description:
|
Provides supportive housing and community support services for seniors and community members with disabilities
Assists seniors to live independently in the community through the provision of nourishing meals at a reasonable costConsists of soup, salad, entree and dessertPrepares meals according to individuals' diet requirementsProvides a choice of lunch for 3 days and/or supper for up to 7 days per weekMeals are delivered by volunteers who provide regular social contact and check on the health and safety of the client

Application:

- Initial assessment required for program enrollment
- Meals must be pre-ordered at least 48 hours in advance
- Cancellation recommended and appreciated at least 12 hours in advance
- Supper meals can be ordered from 1 to 7 days per week, including statutory holidays
- Lunch meals can be ordered from 1 to 3 days per week

Eligibility / Target Population:
|
Must be 60 years of age or older and meet one of the following criteria:
- The client is in receipt of or eligible to receive other long term care community services
- The client is isolated and requires social interaction or stimulation
- Must be living within the old Dryden town limits
