Service Description:

Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug- Tribal Council: Independent First Nations Alliance (IFNA)

Territorial Organization: Independent (No affiliation)Treaty #9
Operates a treatment centre for community members struggling with oxycodone addiction- Operates as a 25-day program for a maximum of 6 individuals per program
- Administers medications to minimize the effects of withdrawal
- Alternates between men and women intakes
Program includes the following services:- Intake
- Detoxification and withdrawal treatment
- Counselling
- Sharing circles
- Traditional land-based activities
- Aftercare
Also provides:- Mental health and addictions counselling
- Referrals to other treatment centres and programs such as Nodin Child & Family Intervention Services in Sioux Lookout

- Program is completely voluntary

Eligibility / Target Population:

- Members of Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug struggling with oxycodone addiction
- Requires completed application and medical assessment
- Program alternates between male and female intakes
- Each participant must undergo drug testing before being allowed to graduate
