  • Operates as the site for the Aboriginal Head Start program
  • Located at Main Rd in the community of Kejick Bay near the rink
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-12 noon, 1 pm-4:30 pm

Service Description: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Lac Seul First Nation

Offers a comprehensive holistic program for Indigenous children and their families living on-reserve to prepare young children for school
  • Strives to meet the emotional, social, health and nutritional needs of children
  • Offers activities such as family gym time, arts and crafts, breakfast/lunch/snacks and circle time
  • Participates in community events and special celebrations
Offers daily programs focused on:
  • Education
  • Health and nutrition
  • Native culture and language
  • Parental and family involvement
  • Social support

Application:
  • Requires completed registration application and

  • Child's birth certificate and updated immunization record


Maximum capacity is 5 children; rest will be waitlisted
Eligibility / Target Population:
  • Members of Lac Seul First Nation

  • Children from 2-4 years of age and their families
Languages: English
Language Notes: Ojibway, available upon request
