Service Description: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Couchiching First Nation

Provides recreation programs and social events for community members from school aged children to elders
Coordinates and supervises a variety of programs including:
  • Adult volleyball nights
  • After-school activities for youth called Latchkey Program
  • Cultural crafts
  • Game nights
  • Group fitness classes such as yoga and zumba
  • Sports activities such as baseball, basketball, floor hockey
  • Summer day camps
  • Youth leadership workshops
Also offers:
  • Memberships for gym use which entitles patrons 24 hour use of gym with a key fob
  • Gym use for private events
  • Structured and unstructured activities at the Centre during Professional Development (PD) days at school

Fees: None
Application:
  • Does not require recreation centre membership to use during regular hours

  • Members younger than 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult

  • Members 55 years of age and older are free

  • Private booking arrangements for gym must be made at least 2 weeks prior to required time; prompt cancellation notice is appreciated
