Clients may apply for a maximum of 90 days, or 13 weeks, of respite each year. The recommended length of stay is one week, but can be increased to a maximum of 30 days.

Service Description: Operates a 37-bed level C hospital with acute care and specialty care beds

  • Supports caregivers by providing temporary care relief
  • Provides individuals with a short stay at the hospital
  • Includes meals, snacks, and planned activities

    • Applications can be initiated by the individual or a family physician

    • Call 1-800-626-5406 to initiate an application

    • A worker from Ontario Health atHome - North West Area will then call to complete the application process
    Eligibility / Target Population: Individuals who require or would benefit from a short stay at the hospital
