Service Description: Provides a wide range of community-based and culturally appropriate programs and services for Indigenous people living in an urban environment

Provides mobile crisis intervention services to individuals affected by family violence
  • Provides immediate on site intervention or telephone assistance
  • Dispatches call to police when deemed necessary
  • Ensures victims receive support and assistance to secure their safety
  • Arranges meeting family members at centre or agreed upon location to discuss possible crisis resolutions
  • Provides advocacy on behalf of individuals and families dealing with various agencies
  • Provides information and referrals to appropriate resources and services

Application: No application process
Eligibility / Target Population:
  • Individuals 16 years of age and older and their families involved in any form of family crisis and/or violence

  • Open to all with a focus on off reserve Indigenous peoples

  • Children under 18 years of age who require assistance are referred to Children's Mental Health Program
