Service Description:
  • Addresses public health issues and promotes healthy living
  • Administers health promotion and disease prevention programs within the Kenora and Rainy River Districts


  • Ensures that publicly-funded vaccines are available to health care and medical clinic facilities
  • Retains all immunization records in a computerized information system; records are retained until age 28 yrs or 10 years after last visit
  • Some vaccines that are not OHIP covered are available for purchase or can be brought in by client; cost recovery and charges for administering apply
  • Administers Immunization Clinics

    • Appointments required for immunization clinics

    • Travel Out-of-Country Immunizations: call six months ahead of travel date to schedule appointment
