Service Description: Offers primary health care and complementary, preventative services for the Anishinaabe and Métis populations in and around the Kenora area

Provides a residential healing program
  • Focus is on breaking the cycle of violence, abuse and addictions through development of a healthy lifestyle
  • Offers residential stays of varying lengths, dependent upon needs of individual
  • Offers day programs in community setting
  • Offers outreach services and support for grief recovery and suicide prevention
In-house services include:
  • Cultural teachings
  • Referrals to other health care and healing services
  • Supportive counselling
  • Traditional healing ceremonies

  • Referrals accepted from any source

  • Intake assessment required
Eligibility / Target Population: Anishinaabe people 16 years of age and older, struggling with violence, abuse or addictions issues

Language Notes: Cree, Ojibway, Oji-cree; available upon request
