Service Description: A district hospital with 23 acute care beds, 26 long-term care beds and a 24-hour emergency department

Operates a 26-bed long-term care facility offering both chronic and extended stay care

Coordinates and delivers the following programs to residents:

  • Intergenerational Programs
  • Memorial Services
  • Pet Visitation/Therapy
  • Volunteer Appreciation Events
  • Voting Day Polling Station

Provides residents with the following services:
  • 24-hour Nursing Care and Supervision
  • 24-hour On Call Physician
  • Care Conferences
  • Foot Care
  • Hairdressing/Barber Services
  • Laundry Services
  • Meals
  • Medication administration
  • Palliative care (end of life care)
  • Physician Visits
  • Social Work Services/Family Services Coordinator
  • Spiritual Programs and Pastoral Care

Eligibility / Target Population:
  • Individuals 18 years of age and older

  • Have a valid Ontario Health Card (OHIP)

  • Have health care needs that cannot be met with any combination of caregiving, care at home or care in the community

  • Have health care needs that can be met in a long term care home
