Manages the daily operations of the town of Atikokan and oversees the daily operations of the following departments:- Administration (includes Town Clerk and By-law Enforcement)
- Building
and PropertyFinance DepartmentFire DepartmentLandfillParks and RecreationPublic WorksAlso oversees the following:- Atikokan Cemetery Board
- Atikokan Public Library Board
- Atikokan Centennial Museum Board
- Atikokan Police Services Board
Oversees the operations and maintenance of community infrastructure and related services
Performs a variety of operations and maintenance tasks including:- Sanitary, storm sewer and water main break repairs, design, construction, rehabilitation and maintenance, including annual hydrant flushing
- Street, sidewalk and laneway maintenance and snow plowing
- Grass cutting and tree planting
- Water and sewer locates
- Landfill operations
- Maintenance of a Public Works garage located at 8 Mercury Ave
- Maintenance and operation of the Atikokan Airport
Hazardous Waste Collection Day free of charge, for community residents once per year in the autumn from 10 am-2 pm at Public Works Yard; advertised on township website and in local newspaper
