Service Description:
|
Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Cat Lake First Nation- Tribal Council: Windigo First Nations Council
- Political Territorial
Organization: Nishnawbe-Aski Nation (NAN)Treaty #9
Manages a treatment centre for youth struggling with problematic alcohol and substance use issues- Provides a residential facility for up to 8 youth
- Offers a 3-month treatment program for youth who are dependent on substances and have behavioural problems
- Provides support to families, parents and communities during intake and aftercare
Offers the following holistic healing services:- Clinical treatment and counselling during addictions recovery
- Coping and life skills teachings
- Counselling for emotional and behavioural issues
- Cultural land-based activities
- Survival skills and ancient lifestyle perspectives from traditional instructors and Elders
Treatment provided for:- Problematic alcohol use
- Problematic substance use
- Solvents/gas/inhalants
